[REVIEW] CITY COLOR CONTOUR EFFECTS PALETTE

Hi girls. This time I am going to do a review about my contour palette which I been using for months now. I bought this in the beginning of year 2016. This contour palette is from City Color. This brand is quite well-known in US for its cheap price with quality.

In Malaysia, we have Sendayu Tinggi Contour Palette which is almost 99 percent same. From what I knew, City Color produced this first? So Sendayu Tinggi is like the dupe of it.

Sendayu Tinggi - about RM50
City Color - about RM60

Well I was lucky to buy this for only RM30.

Well this palette consists of Contour, Bronze and Highlight. And they are all in powder formula.
The powders are pigmented and long-lasting as I always wear them for outings.

This palette is really good for beginners to learn how to contour because it have the contour guides on the palette. Well, if you always practice how to contour day by day you wont look at the guides anymore like me *wink*.

City color actually have two contour palettes (1 & 2) which for warm-toned skin and cool-toned skin.
Well mine is for Warm-toned skin. I think this palette would look good to everyone because they have average color of contour and bronze powder which they should be.

Well my review...

Contour : A bit dark but it works well for warm-skin toned. With right techniques and brushes, your face will look more 3D and more defined.

Bronze : The right color for bronze! I love the bronze so much among these three because it really gives me different feeling of wearing bronze. This can warm up your face quickly and diminish your flat face easily.

Highlight : Too white but its okay because it have shimmery effects and looks okay when already put on face. An average highlight. Be careful not to look cakey.

Do not too pressed on the powder when to apply. Just dab a bit and tap the excess of the powder, then just do the same steps until you get a nice results. This is because the powder can be too thick on the brush if you dab too much on them.

As a conclusion, if you are a beginner, you can try this contour palette. I really love it as it helped me so much in learning how to contour, bronze and highlighting my face. For Malaysian, you can get Sendayu Tinggi Contour Palette as they are pretty much the same.

[REVIEW] INNISFREE ORCHID SPECIAL KIT TRIAL SET

Hi everyone! About last month I bought this Innisfree Orchid Special Kit and now I am going to do a review about this set. Basically its the trial set which i bought from a Carouseller for RM10 exclude postage. So cheap right even though it is a free gift from Innisfree, most people would sell them higher prices.

I wanted to try this set because I coincidentally looking for an eye cream. I read some good benefits and reviews on this orchid eye cream.

The packaging is so nice with purple color which is one my favorite color.

Besides, I love orchids flowers <3

They stated what includes in the set, the amount of the cream and the functions of the cream on the packaging. The functions, mainly for anti-aging that make skins more radiant and firm.

My simple honest review on these three orchid creams :

1) Orchid Enriched Cream

Enriched cream can be used as day cream as it offers a lot of benefits in one cream which your skin need daily. However, the texture is thick so it would be better if you dont apply it too much. This cream suits perfectly on dry skin as it is so moisturized.

2) Orchid Massage Cream

As stated on the packaging, this should be used as night cream. The cream does make your skin radiant and brighter when you wake up from sleep. However, its so moisturized and thick that you might wake up with oily feels. Thus, this cream totally not suitable for oily/combination skin.

3) Orchid Eye Cream

This one is my favorite in this set. I think this eye cream suitable for all types of skin. However, this is not suitable to apply with makeup. This should be apply when you are not applying any makeup and just for a regular day at home or before going to sleep. This cream does make my under eye wrinkles reduced after a week and look more radiance with no puffy eyes. So among these orchid creams, I recommend this the most.

It is just a bit disappointing that I did not suit much with the other two day and night creams, I love the smells so much though! but I can ensure you that if you are looking product that really moisturized your face, those two creams are really good as they are perfect for people with dry skin.

As a conclusion, maybe this is not my favorite set from Innisfree compared to Jeju Volcanic set.
I want to try other sets such as green tea, mineral sparkling and aloe vera which might be suitable to combination and oily skins.

Pros :

Perfect for dry skin
Really moisturizing
A small amount is enough
THE SMELL IS ORCHID
Focusing on anti aging and wrinkles

Cons :

Not suitable for extreme oily skin (works on some combination skin)
The texture so thick

[REVIEW] TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BON BONS EYE PALETTE

This time I am going to do a review about my I-CANT-LIVE-WITHOUT palette, Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons.

I been dreaming to have one of those chocolate palettes from Too Faced. It is quite pricey and sold in Sephora for RM199.

Well, how did i got it? I got it from giveaway for free! Well check out my_makeup_wonderland in instagram. The owner is really friendly and the products are authentic and low prices too.

Among those three palettes (the other two is Chocolate Bar and Semi-matte Chocolate Bar), I like this the most! Why? Because it got the color that I want which is pink!

I been using this for two months already and this palette never disappoints me.

Look at the packaging! Worth to die for <3

The smells of the palette is chocolate but not so strong as Too Faced Chocolate Bar smells.

These are swatches from me. My favorite is totally fetch and black currant. And as you can see, I use a lot satin sheets, cotton candy and molasses chip, thats why the texture are no longer smooth there.

I love how pigmented there are with only one light swatch. The color also stays long especially when wearing eye shadow base and primer. There are differences of color with eye primer or not. So what can I advice is to wear eye primer before eye shadow.

As conclusion, no conclusion. You will never get enough with only one eye palette. I think all girls get this statement.

Next? TOO FACED PEACH PALETTE PLSSS

PLEASE LET IF FALL FROM THE SKY OR GROW FROM THE TREES

OR MY NEXT BOYFRIEND PLS BUY IT FOR ME LOL KBYE

Long-lasting (must wear eye primer)
Variety of colors (not only natural colors but there also dark colors)

Cannot get enough of chocolate smells

[REVIEW] THE BALM MARY LOU MANIZER HIGHLIGHTER

I want to review the product that has been my MOST favourite since the start I bought it, its The Balm Mary Lou Manizer.

Firstly, I want to describe this highlighter as holy grail to my makeup. This highlighter is EVERYTHING. I become crazy of it since the start I wore it on my face.

I bought it from SASA for RM89 and it is really worth it to buy. This highlighter is recommended by a lot of youtubers and makeup experts because it is one of the best highlighters out there in drugstores. The price is affordable and you do not even need to spend a lot on high-end highlighter such as Becca x Jaclyn Hill *wink* .

This is the secret of my glowy makeup, yess no doubt the best.

The packaging looks like this; really cute right? Mary Lou is the famous one among The Balm Highlighters (Betty Lou and Cindy Lou)

The formula is Powdery type, which you do not need to use it a lot. Just touch the brush at the highlighter and tap a bit of the excess of it, then you are ready to put it on your upper cheeks.

This works perfectly on your cheeks, your lips cupid bow, your chin your forehead, and of course your inner corner eye!

The powder is really pigmented and long-lasting. Just avoid rubbing it and it will stay for long time for hours especially with setting spray.
The truth is that sometimes I use my fingers sometimes if I was in rush to put it on my face and it does a good work.

The color is more to yellow mixture with white and the color is suitable to all color of skins.

Look at the swatch! <3

I believe this product is not going to run out fast. I think I use this highlighter a lot but seems its not moving much from its thickness.

As conclusion, I am going to wear this highlighter forever.

Really pigmented
Long-lasting
Suitable to all skin color
Suitable to all skin type
Affordable

Cons :

FRAGILE. Please do not let it fall on floor or you will cry. My suggestion is that do not bring this highlighter in your bag if you are a rough person. If you want to bring it with you around, please wrap it with any clothes.

[REVIEW] INNISFREE JEJU VOLCANIC TRIAL SET

I am going to do a review about the trial set of Innisfree Jeju Volcanic that i recently bought last 2 months. I actually bought this from carousell for RM 18 exclude postage.

What made me want to try this set?

Firstly, because i just stopped using local products. I do not even want to wear them anymore after what happened to my face after using Nourain. It was nothing serious but my face hardly to occur any acnes or pimples but after using that product for two month, there were a lot of small acne around my face that were really hard to disappear from my face. So yeah, avoid the local products girls and go for natural korea/japan products or drugstores products.

Secondly, I fell in love with the store recently I went which at Sunway Pyramid. I just like how natural the products are. The way they advertised the products focusing on their natural substances such as orchids, green tea, aloe vera, jeju mineral etc. First product that i tried from Innisfree were their No Sebum powder. It is one of the good product I am going to review soon.

And lastly, because I made a research of natural substances that would be good to treat oily and combination skin. What I found is that clay, volcanic and mud are quite effective to reduce the oiliness on the face along to reduce blackheads and whiteheads.

I bought the trial set because I do not want to waste money on products that does not suit on my face at the end.

Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

I love this cleanser as it removes the oiliness on my face even when I am using this at small amount.
I really afraid of this cleanser to run out though because of its small packaging. This cleanser really gives me clean feeling after cleansing my face.

Jeju Volcanic Pore Toner

Truthfully I never found any toner that suits my face as this toner. I tried many toner before but my face ended up oily. This toner does not make my face oily at all and it absorbs perfectly into my skin. Then I applied my makeup without any problem. I noticed my uneven skin tone reduced after 2 weeks.

Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

Among the set, I like this one a lot. This could be my favorite among these three. I am a person who do not apply product for huge amount. I applied this mask once/twice a week especially when there's a day where I applied too much makeup and when I feel my skin tired of the makeup. It works for my oily/combination skin where it really reduce the oils at my T-zone. My blackheads and whiteheads on nose also came out especially on my nose even though not all of it. The pores become smaller and some disappear from my skin. So yeah, this is the product I most recommended to buy from Innisfree. After wash off the mask from my face, my face instantly become so soft and feel really clean after that.
